I’m sitting by my fire in a patch of sun. It is super cold in Alaska. The good news : our heat is malfunctioning and it’s about 83 degrees in my house. This past week several conversations inspired me to write about finding peace through strength.
Courage and strength are needed to live a life of peace. I’m talking about the peace that lets you sleep at night. The priceless feeling of everything being OK. The feeling of peace that opens your heart.
Each time we stay in a place of disrespect, we lose a bit of our connection to self and God. Each time we allow ourselves to stay where we don’t feel good, our peace diminishes.
This is where courage comes in. If you find yourself in a relationship that is draining, you can change it. Unhealthy relationships can be born in any area; work, family or friends. As time goes on, you lose a little bit more of your true self. You begin to forget how brilliant your light is. You begin to shut down. Chances are, you experience some anger and resentment.
It takes personal power to leave a situation where others are pressuring you to stay. Maybe you are telling yourself there is no way out. Remember there is always hope. There is always an option that brings recovery.
How do you untangle yourself from situations that are not for your highest good?
First you have to look at your life and determine what is working and what is not supporting you. Maybe there are a few quick fixes.
Spend more time outside. Go to the gym. Increase self -care.
For those bigger issues reflect on what it is costing you, to stay in a toxic environment.
Talk to someone. Make a plan.
Figure out how to rid your life of things that steal your peace.
You need a support system in place. This can be professional help or friends.
Surround yourself with love.
We are living in a time of people coming out and reclaiming their peace. Men and Women both are sharing stories from the past. The actions of others are still effecting their peace of mind. In acts of courage people are claiming peace. They are saying no more, to acts of physical and emotional disrespect and even abuse.
We are experiencing a time of readjusting. As people come out and claim their personal peace, it causes others to feel unsettled. This is a time with an increased amount of turbulence that is helping clean things up. We are in the space just before healing.... Questions are arising of what and who we want in our life. There is lots of soul searching, even on a global level.
Many people wonder what our world will look like in the future.
It’s all good. Recognize the powerful energy that is all around us, ready to help bring in the love and light in all we do.
WE are being supported in our mission to love, to create love and to be love. Nothing can stop us. Nothing can stop Love and Light.
